   Post subject: dumb bots

i made this so it would be easier to add bots. (for testing only)
the following are required for this script:
eventscripts
es_tools
popup

To teleport i use mani's teleport menu
This comes with a popup window to let you add 1 or 5 bots at a time and remove them.
the popup only supports 20 bots and change there name, but you can add enough to fill your server.
So any bot over 20 will have the name bot21 , bot22 , ect..
This is all self contained so all you need to do is create a folder called bots in your
eventscripts\bots\
then save this download in the newly created bot folder and name it es_bots.txt
eventscripts\bots\es_bots.txt
Now edit your autoexec.cfg by adding es_load bots
Start your server and join.
bind key !bots

nice work. Glad you made this. I do use bots on my test server so this will come in handy.

Will have to test this out. I hvae been trying to get rcbots to work on our Linux pub server with DOD:S, but still no go.

i didn't see where dod:s was supported there.
this is only for dod:s , and and to say again.

I acknowledge that rcbots is not currently supported for dod:s, but we try everything...or just sit on the couch?

Rgr testing....we test EVERYWHERE!

Just tried it and the menu does not come up in our Linux box...just the message "[BOT TESTER]: Bot menu is now available....."

As far as I have heard DODS may never see true working bots like in CSS because Valve refuses to realease the source code for DODS. Thats what I hear so I guess in a PUB server we will stick with live people. Hey Cladiron can you add some of the cvars to the popup. Like flip_out and I forgot the follow one. They help on testing tso u can cap flag on two man. Thanks.

and you bound a key to !bots ?
i don't know anything about linux really.
I would have thought the popup would be the same.

you do have popup loaded right ?

make sure your popups are working.
Do you have this in your autoexec.cfg

es_load popup

can many it make which the bots self starting without popup menu, so the

Here is a small .cfg file you can download and put in your servers dod\cfg folder.
Then edit your server.cfg and add this line: exec bots.cfg
This cfg is so simple, if you give the bot's a name it will reset it on a map change.
