   Post subject: S!KO's CS:S HeadShot Mod

Hi All,

I have been tinkering with eventscripts on our servers, and have written a simple HeadShot Mod Script.

This counts consecutive headshots, ignoring nades and knife kills. Your count continues between disconnects/maps/rounds, and it is possible to rack up huge numbers. At the moment the top HS count on our gungame server is 56!!!

It provides a top10 HeadShot Hall Of Fame, and I wrote it to answer those people who say the GunGame promotes bad gunmanship ;)

Huge thanks to cagemonkey for the inspiration, and to everyone that has written helpfully in these forums.

Two servers currently running the mod:

20-man 66-tick : 195.242.236.10:27015
16-man 33-tck GUNGAME : 195.242.236.10:27055

It can be downloaded from

Just place it in a folder called siko_headshots under your eventscripts folder. Then add es_load siko_headshots to your autoexec.cfg.

Requires Eventscripts v1.1

Hi,

Yeah I didn't really explain it that well, I am sorry.

It is just a script that runs alongside any type of CS Source mod.

It keeps count of consecutive headshots for all players, stores an all-time top 10 for display in game (type !hs ), and maintains personal bests for all players on server.

I have found it makes people spend a little more time aiming, and less time spraying ;)

Yeah, it is a lot of code. I dunno if there would be a shorter wsay of doing it tho, given the need to trap so many events.

Plus, any code that does heavy display stuff is probably gonna get pretty long.

Anyhows, hope people are liking it.

Just wondering if anyone is currently running this mod, and what they have found while running it.

Any amazing HeadShot counts out there?

On our GunGame server the highest is 87 !!! (OMFG!! WTF!! HaX!!! :shock: )

I have not tryed it yet, But am definately going to install it now. Just makes it a little more interesting :P . Thanks.

Update: When I get a hs it will say how many consecutive hs's I have on the left side of the screen, but when I type !hsrules nothing comes up and when I type !hs nothing comes up, and same with !headshots

I have popup installed because I have a few other mods that use it, so I dunno what im doing wrong :(

Anyway i can get it to be that 4 Headshots in a row is the minimum before it starts tracking?? I think right now the counter appears at one headshot which is a little excessive.
Also does everyone see your headshot counter appear? Or just you...

Also can it include/not include bot kills - i have looked at the code but am smart enough to tinker with it

This is over a year old. Lookin at the code it definately needs a rewrite. I am sure somebody else has created a more recent version of this somewhere.
