Ich BotAutoSlay v1.3

Features
    This script automatically slays bots after a set number of seconds if only bots are left alive. Checks are done when players change teams and when players die.

Install:
  • save file to cstrike/addons/eventscripts/ich_botautoslay/es_ich_botautoslay.txt
  • To load - es_load ich_botautoslay
  • To load each time your server starts add the line es_load ich_botautoslay to your autoexec.cfg

Settings:
ES:
    bas_delay_endround 5 //Delay to end round when all human players have died
     //Setting to -1 will disable this feature

    bas_delay_afterjoin 5 //Delay when the first human joins and bots are playing
     //Setting to -1 will disable this feature

    bas_endroundcommand "bot_kill" //command to end the round

    bas_premessage 1 // If set to 1 script will announce bots time remaining

    bas_endmessage 1 // If set to 1 script will announce that bots have been slain to end the round

    bas_bombplayout 1 // If set to 1 script will let bots play on if the bomb is planted



Updates:
    1.1 - Added option to set delays to -1 to disable features

    1.2 - Fixed a typo in the messages, thx to podpapa

    1.3 - Added bas_bombplayout

Hey, I've been using the old one of yours bot_end which works very good what would be the benefits of going to this new version?

is this right
save file to cstrike/addons/eventscripts/ich_botautoslay/es_ich_botautoslay.txt

Its got a small fix. This should work better than the other.

I tried it and it works great so far, I like the way you got them to be slayed in the begining when you join too. As always you do a great job. Thanx now only got 1 more eventscript to get upgraded.

Hello and thank you for the script.

I am wondering if there is any way to turn off the "bas_delay_endround" variable so that it does not slay the bots after all humans are dead.

I am using your script to slay all bots at the beginning of a round, so that they do not have an advantage immediately after a map change. I realize that I could set "bot_join_after_player" in the "bot.cfg" to "0", but I want the bots to remain in the game even when there are no human players.

I have tried changing the "bas_delay_endround" variable to a high number, such as "240" so that the script will not slay the bots, however, the timer does not seem to reset after each round and crashes my server when the timer counts to 0. When "bas_delay_endround" is set to a lower number, such as "20", it works as intended and the server does not crash.

Thank you.

EDIT: After a little more investigation, it seems that another script is responsible for my server crashing. My apologies for laying the blame on your script so soon.

I still wish to know how to turn off the "bas_delay_endround", if it is possible. Thanks.

Sure I'll add the option to disable each autoslay command. If you set the delay to what your roundtime is that would work better than something really high. If its really high then there is a chance that it might still fire the command because I reset the round counter every 10 rounds.

If you set the delays to "-1" it will disable the feature (version 1.1)

I really didn't expect you to go through any trouble, but I do appreciate it. Your script works great. :D

EDIT: I wanted to let you know that there are two minor spelling mistakes in your code. There are two instances of:

which of course should read:

As I said, very minor, and I have corrected them on my own server already. I just thought I would let you know. :)

hello,

ichthys, thx for all your great job.

i have tried your autoslay bot script but it wont work ...

i've installed is as any other scripts, but nothing happens when I join the server.

i use a simple bot_on.cfg file to activate the bots.

This is my autoexec.cfg file. is there something wrong ?

The instructions are correct on the forum post. There was a mistake that I had to change, I guess it was also in the script .txt file.

Are you sure you have the script in the right place?
cstrike/addons/eventscripts/ich_botautoslay/es_ich_botautoslay.txt

when there are no active players, the bots disappear in my server. how do I make it so the bots stay there, and so I can install this script to slay all bots?

Set bot_join_after_player to 0 in your autoexec.cfg or server.cfg

now wouldn't slaying just keep slaying the bots, are the bots kicked after they are slayed?

No this script never kicks bots. It just slays bots when there is a player waiting to play and no human players alive.

oohhhh, okay...I thought it was a script that kicked all bots in case someone left them on, and everyone on the server left...
