:arrow: Napalm v0.2 by Mattie

Napalm turns all hegrenades into fire bombs that catch people on fire.
Requirements:

Features:

  • Grenades light on fire when thrown
  • Players catch on fire if they are damaged by the grenade
  • Grenade impact has a reduced radius
  • Customizable grenade damage and radius

  • This is a new 'Script Addon" rather than a script pack. It requires v1.0 of EventScripts.
  • Update v0.2: Unload will reset noisy back to what it was before it loaded.

It works fine in Firefox. If you're using IE (Internet Explorer) you need to right click->Save Target As... then select the destination.

Not broken for me

But the text is in a straight line and very hard to edit or understand

Actually IE just opens up a window asking if you want to save or open it

Just click save

it doens't take much to load this and see in action. a screen shot will not do justice for the fun it can bring to the server

I'll add a screenshot tomorrow if no one else has one before then.

Picture this, though:
  • Player throws a grenade and it turns into a grenade-sized ball of flame in mid-air.
  • Victims fall over themselves to scramble out of the way of the flaming projectile
  • Grenade explodes and everyone hurt in its (reduced) radius is engulfed in flames.
  • If the player can survive 30 seconds of flame (good helmet and armor) then it will wear off .... until the next grenade comes their way.

I f'ing love this

it does piss off alot of my players on my server so this a mod you need to be ready turn on and off on the fly

I loves me es_unload

I can't get it to work at all :-( the new 1+ eventscripts is loaded and working, we have the new AceRates (which works) and the Gun Game mod, we also have Mani V1.1.0zh

Any clues or fixes appreciated as this looks so cool everyone wants it :-)

Okay, can you double-check the following:
  • Into what directory did you place the .txt file?
  • What lines did you add to the autoexec.cfg? (What are the 2-3 lines above and below it?)
  • Can you find the txt file and open it up? Does it look normal?
  • What OS are you running?

I actually can't remember off the top of my head. I believe it was 350.

Everything looks good. One question, though, what's the name of the text file you saved? (Just to be sure)

Do you have HLSW and can get log information from the server? If so, what do you see when you do this via HLSW's rcon?

As per instructions it was saved as: es_napalm.txt

just copy and pasted as per instructions works sweet.. Well nice mod gonna have some fun with this everynow and then...

razor have you testing running this script alone on the server?

while the beta testing was going on I ran windows and linux box properly with no errors anywhere with and without other scripts....hell I had 12 scripts loaded at one point
