I just wonder why you recommend putting the register line to autoexec.cfg? I'd rather only register the script pack once in server.cfg and unregister and reregister it manually if needed.

I strongly recommend against placing eventscripts_register commands in server.cfg. This is because if those script packs registered their own server.cfg, then it's too late for it to trigger.

It's best to place the register command in autoexec.cfg (or do it yourself via rcon and change the map).

Could you explain it a bit better? It's too late to trigger what? I have all my eventscript_register commands in server.cfg and some of those script packs have their own server.cfg files and I have yet to see any problems.

script functions well, however the players are free to put this they want with regard to the values..... I type ""!ratesfor < id or name > i have a message in green which says" "[rate] that not.....

this script can it force the value or kick the player? so yes or one fixes them value? in which cfg? ( google traduction )

Some of those scripts will not work correctly until the next map change. On the first map after a server reboot they may not work correctly.

Some script packs specify their own server.cfg. These often contain a lot of important initialization commands. If you are registering script packs in your existing/main/primary server.cfg, then it's too late for EventScripts to execute the server.cfg that the script pack needed. EventScripts tries to execute the server.cfg inside each script pack directory whenever a new map starts, but it won't know to do that if you wait until the global server.cfg fires.

Regardless of whether I'm clear in what I describe above, the important thing to take away is that I do not recommend registering script packs in server.cfg. It's not going to do anything terrible, but after a server reboot it may make some scripts break.

This is probably best described by a time line.
When the server starts
  1. Server starts
  2. autoexec.cfg runs
  3. server.cfg (Including individual scriptpack server.cfg's)

So if you only register your script packs on 3 (server.cfg) then the script pack server.cfg wont be included in the execution of scrip pack server.cfgs.

As far as I know, you can't read cl_interpolate from the client. I wrote this script pack initially to try to read that setting, but that's not one that is sent to the server.

It looks like the cvar cl_cmdbackup is the one that is abused to gain the "sponge" effect.

if player latency and some server settings are added, (see requests forum)
a script that dynamicly changes rates to a players best settings would be very possible.
