EZ-AFK script pack

Requires
EventScripts v0.9 +
Mani v 1.1.0x +


Features
Removes afk players from the battle ground and holds them there until only other afk players remain, players maintain there 'afk' status every round until they become active again.

You may set options to send inactive players at spawn to afk mode or kick them, and specify how many times (a player gets slayed in afk mode) it takes for them to be kicked from the server.

To be done soon...
add player announcment afk X rounds

Installation
(this is a SCRIPT PACK, which means the files are self contained and separate requiring no editing of individual event files other than autoexec.cfg. the files are intended to remain in their own registered subdirectory and can be turned on/off using the eventscripts_register/eventscripts_unregister commands.)

1. unzip the directory rolldie into your cfg directory or your eventscripts_subdirectory.
2. put the following line in autoexec.cfg

The basics of this script use some of the exact same variable names as my simple AFK script.

I am pointing this out not as a dig that you may have used my code (in fact I would take that as a complement even if you didn't say thanks to anyone for contribution) but as a warning to anyone using "both" scripts; neither will work.

As my script is finished and I have stated that I won't be developing it any more, it may be an idea to change your variable names.

I am pretty sure no one is going to install 2 afk scripts :roll:

and I know this is.. another... afk scipt I just created this for a simple afk handeling and removing of players.

Of course but I did, I made the mistake of trying it out at the same time as some of the features are different.

And of course others may not be as daft as me but you never know. :lol:

mabey Ill change my prefix to... afk_betterthanaces_* :P

Or more acurately afk_much_more_complex_and_cpu_intensive_than_aces :P

when i am afk, it doesnt slay me when the last player on my team dies...
so im still afk and the round continues....

plz update it, that the slay function works again...

I am doing this as we speak, there will be an update soon. :wink:

note : admins that go afk and are immune to ma_slay will not die!

edit : this will be resolved in version 1.5, using es_cexec kill

yes, but personally I would rather have them teleported out of the way.

reasons I do this include but are not limited to
people going afk in doorways to block everyone and not able to die.
people going afk as decoys
people just being in the way in general...


If you would still like to see this added I will create it as an option, and change there color.

to make them god exec 'godplayer.cfg' where event_var(userid) is the person you want to be god, same for un-god.

there you have it, they cant die... (the largest amount of damage in one hit I have ever seen is 9000, by my rediculus awp on my zombie server when nemod worked)

if they die in the same place they spawned they are moved to afk mode.

it would be really nice if this script would also move players to AFK mode after standing in their spawn point for X seconds

that way there would be less of a chance for other players to get kills off AFK players...

is this possible?
