No kinfe in-game, Impossible to finnish the playing.

Post subject: GunGame5 Alots of Problems

Hey guys,

I recently downloaded GunGame5 since my GunGame4 does not work anymore.
Now when I have got GunGame5 to work I find a small problem, There are no Knifes in-game!

I checked each file and I can´t find why the knifes are not there.
As well when you are a the granade level you have only one granade and no gun, so after you have thrown away your granade you can´t do anything, the player is empty handed, it would be nice to have at least a glock or a knife.

Second the soundlist in GunGame seems to not work for me, at least it doesn't play the sounds or downloading them, I tested by adding the sounds correct in my game folder cstrike still the gungame wont play them in-game.

I Tried to config the GunGame but nothing helps,

I have other plugins yes, Mani Admin plugin do I use.

I just wish my GunGame4 would work but there are as well problem, after loaded the gungame4 it gives me the message ingame.

But the guns are not changing or you can´t go up in level.
It's kind of messy...

Well, for starters, GunGame5.0 is no longer supported. You should update to using GunGame5.1 instead:

The requirements for it are listed here:

Also, look under the Known Issues section, especially #3. You will want to download and install the addon that #3 links to. It fixes the issues that were caused by the Feb. 22nd CS:S update.

If your server crashes when loading GunGame5.1 from your autoexec.cfg, please see #1 in the Known Issues section.

You will also want to use the fix in #2 in the Known Issues section if you use any other non-GunGame51 addons for EventScripts. GunGame51 has a temporary fix built-in, but other scripts might not.

Ah, ok, the ../cfg/gungame5/ paths in the cfg file threw me off, but it just seems that is a bug in the current code.

Well, if you still look at the Known Issues section, it should help fix your issues.

Also, I noticed you added a lot of config options to the gg_en_config.cfg file. A lot of those options are in their specific ../cfg/gungame51/included_addon_configs/ file, like gg_deathmatch . And make sure you are using the latest GunGame5.1 (version 5.1.506).

I would recommend removing your entire ../cfg/gungame51/ folder and reinstalling it from the zip. After you es_load gungame51 one time, all the other files will be created. Then, edit them to your liking.

Did you try #3 under Known Issues? If you download, install, and load that addon, it 'will' fix the no knives issue (among many others).

GunGame 5.1 has this issue, and this is the solution that has always worked for the installations that I have:

Install and load the plugin autokick_disabler BEFORE loading GunGame. You can view and download the addon from HERE.

You have required this addon since Feb 2011 due to issues with updates that were released.

That is what I was pointing out. But, he says he installed it and it didn't fix the issue... Back when I linked to it, it was issue #3, but since then, we have resolved what used to be issue #2 completely, so it was removed from the Known Issues list.
