Import Weapons v2.0

Credits

Features:
  • This Script Pack enables players to buy weapons belonging to the opposing team with a little extra cost
    for import taxes ($500).
  • You can only buy import weapons in a buy zone durring mp_buytime
  • You cannot buy a the same type of gun you are already holding
  • Drops previous primary/secondary if you buy a new one.
  • I suggest not using this on a server that has weapon restrictions unless you know how to edit out the weapons you have restricted from this script pack.
  • Type !buy and that start of the round to get the Import menu.

Requirements:

Installation:
  • Unzip the es_import_weapons.txt into cstrike/addons/eventscripts/import_weapons/
  • Add the following line to your servers autoexec.cfg:

this script seems to work great, I modified it so you can only buy assault weapons such as the AK and M1A4 however it seems like when 4 or more people are in the server it stops working. You'll type !buy but nothing comes up. Is this a known problem or is it because I modified it? If it was because I modified it, do you think you can upload a version that makes it so you can only buy an M4 and AK? Thanks.

script seems to work great...

Except... when a person does an auto-rebuy shortcut (b, r in buy zone at round start)... then typing the !buy command no longer appears to pop up. any ideas? alot of ppl use the !buy menu to purchase their weapon in round 1 and then buy all of their gear. the next round they push auto rebuy to re purchase all the "other gear" (helmet vest etc...) and then go into the !buy menu... only the !buy menu... isn't there now

Would you know the reason for this and how to correct?

ACTUAlly scrap that. the auto-rebuy isn't causing problems on cs_office.

it appears the problem is occurring on the terrorist side of de_dust2

the menu appears for a few rounds... and then for some reason after some period rounds... terrorists can no longer activate the !buy menu

i have no idea what is going on

oK... AFTER alot more testing.. it appears that the m4a1 is somehow creating a bug that prevents the !buy menu from popping up in later rounds for t's.

Not sure why this is occurring.. but if you use the buy menu to purchase an m4 as a terrorist.. in later rounds the buy menu will not pop up any longer..

its really odd.

bump****

can someone please take a look at this script and see if something is glaringly missing. The code does not appear to be stable.

From my server.. the code will create the popup menu after a user has typed !buy ... but after a few rounds.. the say trigger will no longer fire. What is interesting is that part of the code still clearly works even after the say trigger to pop up the menu stops working. Specifically, when the trigger fails... the code must clearly still be working because when ppl are dead (the same ppl that no longer can get the popup to appear during buy time) the message part of the code that says "you can only buy this whilse you are alive" is working. I looked at this message and it is embedded in the Buy Block code along with the actual code to popup the menu.

Not sure what is creating this. in addition, we are noticing some peculiar side effects occur on our server. Some users will purchase an m4a1 and all of a sudden the m4 does not come out but instead a five seven. other times duelies will appear when the user purchased something completely different related to the other team. I know very little about event script coding.. but from what i have read.. it is almost like left over event variable data is being stored instead of server variable data. maybe that sentence made no sense.. .but clearly this code doesnt appear to be stable.

Yes, i have removed the purchase of the two AUTO sniper rifles.. but even with the original code the effects im stating still occur. Plus, the two weapons i removed were actually the last two blocks of the original code along with the last two options of the menu choice... so i feel fairly confident that the editing I have done has not corrupted the code.

I would greatly appreciate some help on this script because I do believe this addon is a real winner.

PLEASE HELP ME OBI ONE!!!!!!
