Im goign othave to disagree with you there. If the mysql database is under extreme load, then it will still have latency issues. You should never make assumptions like that.

ALso, what if someone else is hosting their mysql server elsewhere?

actually you could use a mysl server which is remote. but then you'd have to enable remote mysql access for that server which is a security problem...

I've been running this script for two days now, and when it has been on for a couple of hours, the server literally starts to lag (as if there are missing packets or something.) As soon as I unload the script, lag dissappears.

Edit: I just realised this topic is quite old - am I allowed to respawn semi-dead topics on this forum?

i got ever this error:

es_load cstat
sCan't load addon (cstats): libmysqlclient_r.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

but i installed the clientpackage from mysql. Someone got a idea?

I got the same error as the guy above me the Mysql settings look like this
PYTHON:

I also tried replacing the url with the ip but that didn't fix anything

you could include a system that would activate the statistics only after X kills pls.

Your gameserver doesn't have the mysql client library files installed.
Ask your gameserver hosting company or whatever it is you have to install these for you.

http://emza.serbianplanet.com/cstrike - wrong host. You must type mysql-host, not web-host!! May be it "emza.serbianplanet.com" or "localhost" or ask for it your database provider

umm, i added the file addon file to my cstrike folder, edited the cstats.py to make it match my localhost server&password, made cstrike folder and didnt add anything else in the cstrike folder on local hosst bcs i didnt know if i should or what i should put in and how... Anyone know?

I have been trying to install this with no luck, is there a detailed install guide?

i am running a cs:source server, i am renting from a hosting company, not dedicated. my server is windows based.

how can i install cstats to run on it?


i practically want the feautures of hlstatsx without al the website stuff.
just a box when i type rank that lists rank points, kilss, deaths, weapon used most, and when a attacker kills me, fo points to be deducted from me as well as the
attacker gaining points!

please help!

Hello, I seem to be having an issue with it connecting to my server database correctly.

I have a website and some webhosting for my community, with mysql servers. Therefore the cstrike and mysql are on different servers so I cannot use localhost, I've tried using the server IP Address, and I still get this error

I am able to use cpanel, any easy way to find the correct info out?

One thing I noticed it that is is trying to connect to 81.19.215.12 but then it saying access denied for 'solitude_Peter'@'195.90.98.17 which is a different IP Address.

Could anyone help? :)
